Our Programs
At YUC, we believe true change begins with empowered, informed, and connected young leaders. Our programs are designed to nurture the whole person, mind, body, and spirit, while equipping youth with the tools to challenge systemic injustice and lead transformative change.
From healing justice practices that create safe spaces for emotional resilience, to political education that builds critical awareness, to civic engagement that amplifies youth voices in decision-making, our programs are built to inspire leadership, community connection, and long-term impact.
Each initiative is rooted in research, cultural pride, and grassroots organizing, ensuring that young people are not only prepared to navigate the world as it is, but empowered to build the world as it should be.
Healing Justice (Safety)
Healing Justice at YUC focuses on addressing intergenerational trauma and building emotional and spiritual resilience. We integrate wellness practices into meetings and workshops while offering cultural healing techniques such as somatics, sound bowls, sage smudging, and drumming. Our Healing Justice Organizer leads collective care events, ensuring that youth have the space and tools they need to heal while continuing the fight for liberation

The program’s pillars include skill-building, personal identity development, and community connection. Guided by research on adolescent development, TOP provides a safe and supportive environment for youth to grow into confident and active leaders.

By exploring topics such as capitalism, racism, patriarchy, and systemic injustice, we give youth the knowledge and tools to challenge these structures. Our organizers, trained in nationally recognized curriculums like SOUL, guide participants in developing strategies for real-world change.

YUC believes that civic power begins with an informed and active community. In partnership with PA Youth Vote, we lead voter education, registration drives, and Get-Out-the-Vote campaigns. We train youth to understand local government, attend school board meetings, and advocate for policies that directly impact their lives, ensuring they have the tools to shape the future of their communities.
